well if your new to the game and thinking about just giving Airsoft a try. First, you've got to know what Airsoft is. What is it? Well, it's a type of gun that shoots six millimeter plastic pellets balls.
In the uk lots of people call airsoft guns bb guns.
In the usa a bb gun is a gun that fires a metal pellet (in the uk known as a air rifle) we do not sell this type of gun.
but in the uk if you’re hear someone say bb gun they are probably are referring to what is know worldwide as airsoft gun. (like we sell)
the only guns we sell on this site are all legal two tone colored airsoft guns that you do not need a licence to buy.
It’s a little confusing I know but but you get the drift I hope.
There are other sites that sell black airsoft guns but in the uk you will need a ukara gun licence to buy one. (we dont sell black guns at the moment)
mostly airsoft players will buy a two tone gun and progress to a black gun and a licence if they like the sport.
There are plenty of things you can do with airsoft guns. Some people collect them and the more realistic of a replica they are, the most of a desired collectible they become. Other people just like to use them for target practice because they're very accurate. In fact, many law enforcement agencies, as well as the military, utilize Airsoft guns in training exercises and real world simulations.
Now, for most of us though, there are three basic scenarios. The first one
is renegade style, where someone has a private piece of land where mostly friends gather to play or a team might use that area to train. And the other two are organized venues where you can play. One is mostly outdoors and that is known as field play. And the other one is mostly indoor and that's CQB, or close quarters battle, also known as CQC, close quarters combat.
Now, there are certain requirements and rules for both of these different
styles. As a rule of thumb, generally CQB has a feet per second of upwards of 350 and outdoor games are mostly about, probably tops about 400 feet per second. Just a little FYI for those of you thinking about getting into Airsoft; just go out and try it.
You're going to love it. The guns are
accurate, and you will get hooked.
play safe, play smart and play hard. Maintain this game and enjoy.
